The best thing about the 1st of the month...

The best thing about the 1st of each month is the test of our island's tsunami warning siren.  Why?  Because Pali loves to sing along to the siren, and I love to listen to him howl!  Yesterday was a historic event!  For the first time, Hana sang along and did a duet with Pali when the siren sounded.  Hana has clearly been tempted to join in before - emitting a few little sound bites, but never a full fledged howl.  Well, as soon as the siren started up yesterday, I ran out of my office to find the dogs, grabbing my camera on the way.  I managed to catch a good part of the monthly sing-a-long, and Hana's first ever song!
