New homes for all (except our Bonzer)!

Today we found a home for Adzuki!  I feel really great about Adzuki's new family...and they live on Oahu too, which is so exciting!

This means we have no more puppies for sale.  Now we can just focus on loving our Borzoi and no more worries about finding homes :)

This blog will live on...I will start posting pictures and updates I get from the new owners, and updates about our boy Garbanzo, and of course, Pali and Hana!  I really want for all of the Kawailoa Borzoi ohana to keep in touch and hopefully we can meet up from time to time!

Aloha!

Update - Only one puppy still available!

We have accepted an offer on Lentil
(more tears...I'm turning into an emotional wreck with all these babies leaving the nest),
which leaves us with only one puppy left to find a home for...

Aloha ʻoe, dear Soy

Today I dropped Soy off at the airport, sending him on his way to his new home on the Big Island.  I've literally been crying my eyes out all day.  I knew this was going to be a difficult goodbye, but I wasn't prepared for quite how heart-wrenching it turned out to be.  My dear Soy, oh how I miss you already.

Our sweet baby should be meeting his new owner for the first time right about now as I type this entry.  I wish them the best, and I hope Soy is a brave little boy on this big day in the journey of his life.

Two puppies still available!

We still have two puppies that we're looking to find the perfect home(s) for: our boys Adzuki & Lentil...

Adzuki   (ßclick link)
What can I say about Adzuki?  Well, he's my husband's favorite.  Adzuki was our miracle pup that almost got lost during delivery.  Adzuki is very affectionate and his markings are just gorgeous.  I have high hopes for Adzuki ...although by no means a necessity, I'd love to find a show home, and/or a family interested in breeding to take him.  Foremost, I just want him to go to a loving home. We're holding out for the right match with Adzuki.

Lentil  (ßclick link)

The funny thing about Lentil is that he ended up looking more like his daddy than Pali-II.  Lentil started off on the small side, but he has blossomed into such a strong, healthy boy.  I've had so many friends tell me that Lentil is their favorite, or that he is the cutest of the bunch.  Lentil has a sweet, gentle soul that melts people's hearts.  I'm hoping to send Lentil to a home where he will be somebody's constant companion.  This little boy has so much love to give, and he does really well in public situations.

Both pups are just stunning, and both have sweet and lovable personalities.  We love them both, so much!

Bye Bye Pali II!

Today we said goodbye to little Pali-II.
He's off to a new life in Mililani with Lori and James.  We know he's going to love his new family.  Goodbyes are always hard, but sharing the joy of Borzoi with others is a wonderful thing.

We love you Pali-II!
We have also accepted an offer on Lentil Soy today.  It looks like Soy will be headed to the Big Island!

10 weeks old!

We've been having so much fun with the puppies lately.  Days are pretty lazy & quiet, but in the evening we invite the whole gang to run amuk in the house for some serious playtime.  Pali does so well with his babies.  He knows to be gentle, but he still gets quite a workout playing with them.  The pups adore Pali and Hana.  It's so endearing watching them climb all over and lavish their parents with kisses.

...took a few more pictures yesterday, here are some favorites...

And then there were 5...

So we're down to 5 puppies.  Tasha (formerly "Jelly") has moved to the Big Island, Roman (formerly "Cocoa") has moved to Maui, and Anna and Lilly (formerly "Jelly" and "Lima") both moved to Kauai.  I was hoping it would get easier with each goodbye, but I think it's getting harder.  I suppose that makes sense...after all, we grow more attached to them everyday with each new experience, each cuddle session, each moment shared.

These puppies are so dear to us.

The babies still with us include Adzuki, Soy, Pali II, Lentil, and Garbanzo.  All boys.  All sweet little souls.  9-week old bundles of love, ready to be delivered to new families.  We've had some recent inquiries about a couple of these little babes.  I have a feeling it won't belong till there are more goodbyes to be said.

We're very likely keeping Bonzer (Garbanzo).  It's a tough choice ...they are all so lovely.  But I let myself become more bonded to Garbanzo than I probably should have - maybe because he was the first born, or maybe he chose me...I think that's it J

Pali II or Lentil - I'm not sure which one.
I love the little twist of hair at the tip of the tail - they all have it!
